John Deere Easy Change™

The John Deere Easy Change™ 30-second oil change system makes oil changes easy, quick and clean. Changing the oil is as easy as turning on a new oil filter. There is no need to drain the oil from the engine.

The John Deere Easy Change™ filter is an additional engine oil container. When changing the filter, the captured contaminants are removed and approximately 0.76 liters (0.8 qt) of engine oil is replaced.

The functionality doesn’t stop with ease of use. The Easy Change™ oil system has many useful advantages over the traditional X100 Series oil filter system:

• A synthetic filter material is used for more predictable filtration and a longer service life.
• The filter capacity is higher than that of a conventional oil filter.

• The system has 40 percent more oil volume.
• The oil and engine cooler.

Welded steel frame over the full length

          
The solid one-piece frame is constructed from 2.66mm steel. The full-length robot-welded frame construction features high-strength steel rails for added strength and durability. The one-piece steel fender deck is bolted to the frame.

The front axle is made of solid cast iron that does not bend:

• A rack and pinion steering system like that found in a car provides a powerful, low-effort system that allows for tight turns.
• Three grease nipples, on both steering spindles and the central pivot point, allow regular lubrication to maintain easy steering and reduce wear.
• Large wheel axle supports with 19 mm diameter ensure excellent durability.

Hydrostatic Kanzaki® Tuff Torq® gearboxes

       
The hydrostatic Kanzaki® Tuff Torq® transmission allows for stepless selection of the driving speed and easy change of the driving direction. Foot pedals arranged next to each other control the speed and direction of travel:

• The control element, which is similar to the accelerator pedal in a car, ensures easy operation.
• The driver can change direction without lifting his foot from the platform.
• The large pedal surface ensures optimal driver comfort.

The appropriate transmissions are used in each model depending on the size of the rear tires and the tractor power requirements to ensure outstanding performance and reliability:

• Tuff Torq TLT200 – X107 and X127
• Tuff Torq K46 – X167, X117R, X147R and X167R

Comfortable operation

          
The operator platform is designed for operator comfort and ease of use. The controls are positioned so that they are within easy reach and the tractor is easy to control.

The position and angle of the steering wheel provide the driver with plenty of space and steering comfort. The driver’s seat can be tilted back to adjust it to a position that is comfortable for the driver.

The controls are clearly visible and easy to use. A large, 14-inch deluxe steering wheel provides greater driver comfort and better control of the vehicle:

• The ignition lock is conveniently located on the dashboard.
• The fuel level can be easily read using the fuel gauge on the dashboard.

The wide footwell with non-slip and shock-absorbing rubber floor mats ensures comfort and safety for the driver:

• Optimal driver comfort
• Dirt drainage channels keep the footrest area free of dirt and moisture.

A two-piece seat with an open, high backrest (38 cm) provides greater driver comfort and good support. Particularly useful when the tractor is used for longer periods:

• Easily adjustable forwards and backwards while sitting.
• Seat adjustment by 14 cm and in 10 different positions to adapt to the size of the driver.

The seat can be tilted forward to protect against the elements and for easier access to the fuel tank.
