Powerful two-cylinder V-engine

The large 656 cc V-twin engine offers plenty of power and torque to cope with difficult mowing conditions:

• Powerful engine with 12.36 kW at 3,050 rpm for higher performance.

• Cast iron cylinders increase the service life of the engine.

• A return spring ensures that the driver does not accidentally leave the hand throttle in the choke position.

• Pressure oil lubrication and oil filters ensure clean oil, a longer service life and longer oil change intervals.
• The large, high-quality air filter element increases the life of the engine and is easy to maintain.

A fuel filter and an oil filter in the engine ensure trouble-free operation. Both are conveniently located for easy maintenance.A tool-free engine oil drain is easily accessible and simple to use for oil changes.

• The capacity is 9 l.
• The large diameter filler neck opening is conveniently located under the tractor seat.
• The tank can be easily filled without spilling.
• The tank cap is practically connected to the fuel tank.
• The sealed lid prevents vapors from escaping from the tank.

Hydrostatic Kanzaki® Tuff Torq® transmissions

The hydrostatic Kanzaki® Tuff Torq® transmission allows for stepless selection of the driving speed and easy change of the driving direction. Foot pedals arranged next to each other control the speed and direction of travel:

• The control element, which is similar to the accelerator pedal in a car, ensures easy operation.
• The driver can change direction without lifting his foot from the platform.
• The large pedal surface ensures optimal driver comfort.

The appropriate transmissions are used in each model depending on the size of the rear tires and the tractor power requirements to ensure outstanding performance and reliability:

• Tuff Torq TLT200 – X107 and X127
• Tuff Torq K46 – X167, X117R, X147R and X167R

With the RIO function (Reverse Implement Option)

If the operator feels it is necessary to keep the mower (or other attachment) running while reversing, he should first bring the tractor to a stop and then look behind the machine to make sure there are no people there. Then the RIO switch must be activated (pressed). The RIO button must be held down when the machine is in reverse (on hydrostatic models, the brake pedal must be depressed).

The operator can then release the switch. The mower will continue to operate when reversing and will continue to operate when forward travel is resumed. This procedure must be repeated the next time the operator wants to mow the mower while reversing. If the mower is operating and the operator presses the reverse pedal before pressing the RIO switch, the mower will disengage.

Cargo Mount™ system 

The Cargo Mount system at the rear allows convenient and easy installation of the rear grass catcher.

Edge™ cutting system

The Edge™ cutting system name has been trademarked to emphasize the advantages of John Deere’s mower design, which give the mower the highest level of comfort, performance and reliability.

The 107 cm wide Edge™ mower deck has two heavy-duty spindles. The sturdy mower deck made of 2.3 mm thick steel ensures reliable mowing for years. The included 3-in-1 blades work well for side discharge, mulching or bagging.

The mowing blades are mounted using the unique “blade on spindle” fastening system for even greater safety and comfort:

• No tools are needed to switch between mulching, side discharge and rear grass catcher.
• A mulching cover is standard on the X127 (optional upgrade on the X107) and can be installed without tools to enable mulching with the standard mower blades.
• Mulching performance can be improved with powerful mulching blades.
• The optional retrofit kit for high mulching performance includes a mulching insert and special blades.

WASHING CONNECTION ON THE MOWER

The wash port makes it easy to clean the underside of the mower. A hose connector for connecting to the wash port is available locally.

StarLock™ blade construction

The StarLock™ blade design ensures that the mower blade screw is always tightened to a constant torque so that it can be easily removed.

Blades for difficult mulching and bagging conditions are available as an option.

grass catcher with 230l capacity

The  230L rear grass catcher  is available separately.
The grass catcher system can be set up in minutes without tools and allows for efficient bag inflation and easy bag emptying.
