Grillo front-mounted ride-on mower with collector FD220 R

The FD220 R’s single-blade cutting deck is mounted at the front and in a free-standing position in relation to the driver; the visibility of the work is extraordinary! It allows precise cutting even under bushes or low branches, limiting interventions with manual tools.
The cutting width is 800 mm, the cutting height varies from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 90 mm, and it is possible to adjust the cutting height to one of the 7 positions by operating the lever next to the driver’s seat.

The Grillo FD220 R is an extremely manoeuvrable and pleasant to drive lawn mower. The steering wheel and steerable rear axle allow an inner turning circle of just 30 cm!
The hydrostatic transmission is operated by a single pedal both when driving forward and when reversing. The accelerator pedal is equipped with “dampers” to avoid shocks.
In tight spaces, when maneuvering or when encountering obstacles, the Grillo FD220 R always proves to be agile

The floating mower deck ensures a perfect cut even on uneven ground. The tilting rear axle, the drive wheels with non-slip profile, together with the pressure adjustment of the mower deck on the ground, allow the mower to follow the rises and falls of the ground with precision without ruining the grass cover.
The pressure on the ground for the mower deck can be adjusted by simply operating the handwheel under the driver’s seat; the device changes the weight distribution between the mower deck and the drive axle of the FD220 R for better grip on the ground, even on slopes.
The speed is continuously adjustable from 0 to 9 km/h. This makes looking after your own garden quick and of high quality.

When the grass catcher is full, the blades disengage automatically and cutting is stopped to avoid blockages. It is also possible to select the “buzzing warning” option (removing the electrical connector is enough) to indicate that the grass catcher has been filled.
Emptying the full grass catcher on the FD220 R is easy! When you engage reverse gear, simply lift the lever next to the driver’s seat without having to get off; when you lift it, the catcher will open and empty automatically.
The blade is operated by an electromagnetic clutch controlled by a push button and has a warning light to indicate the operating mode.
The disc parking brake is controlled by a practical lever, allows you to get off the machine with the engine running, requires the cutting deck to be disengaged

Two petrol engines are available: the Vanguard 14 HP model and the Loncin LC1P92F 12 HP model.
Both engines with electric start are OHV and have cast iron cylinders, they use modern solutions that guarantee their reliability, keeping exhaust emissions low, consumption reduced and high performance. The exhaust silencer of the FD220 R was developed by Grillo with the “Super Silent” series to achieve high noise reduction and low resistance at the exhaust.

The driver’s seat of the FD 220 is ergonomic. The seat is suspended and adjustable, together with the height-adjustable handlebars, these make the FD220 R an ideal lawn mower that meets all requirements, including cutting and leaf collection.

At the end of the work, cleaning the cutting deck is always easy and can be done by everyone! The cutting deck is equipped with a cleaning connection so that when the water hose is connected, the entire cutting device can be cleaned effortlessly.
The Grillo FD220 R is equipped with a pedal to raise the cutting deck in position, allowing you to overcome obstacles or climb onto pavements. Raising the cutting deck is a simple operation. Once raised, it also allows easy access to the removable blade ends. In addition, the cutting deck can be removed from the machine and laid on its side with a few simple actions.
By raising the grass catcher or the driver’s seat, you can also easily access the transmission components and the engine.
