Our well-known ride-on all-purpose mower AS 915 Enduro is now becoming the AS 915 Sherpa 2WD. The main advantages of the AS Sherpa are on board: a surfing mower deck that lifts up when it comes into contact with the ground, the AS cross blade system with pendulum blades and mulching blade on top, high seating comfort with maximum legroom and the unique one-hand drive lever operation. The all-rounder for ambitious private users and semi-professional users.
Robust engine and comfortable drive
The AS 915 Sherpa 2WD is powered by a Briggs & Stratton two-cylinder engine from the Professional Series 7220. With its 656 cm³ displacement, the engine delivers a maximum of 22 hp and is also equipped with an oil and petrol pump. The drive is hydrostatic and continuously variable. The forward speed can be continuously adjusted between 0 and 10.5 km/h and the reverse speed between 0 and 8.2 km/h using one-handed operation of the drive lever. The special feature: the mechanical parking brake is integrated in the drive lever. When stopping on a slope or when driving uphill, no brake pedal is required. When the drive lever is in the neutral position, the parking brake is automatically applied, as is the case when leaving the driver’s seat. If the drive wheels spin, the differential lock can be engaged at any time using the foot pedal, even under full load.
Closed, surfing mower deck
A unique selling point of all AS-Motor Sherpa models is the closed mulching mower deck. The closed side walls keep the grass clippings in the mower deck for longer and chop them up finely. The cross blade system cuts the vegetation with the flexible cutting blades and the upper mulching blade chops the grass clippings into mulch. The grass clippings are only ejected backwards between the drive wheels. The advantage of this is that no material gets stuck in the rear wheels and full traction is maintained. When the sides of the mower deck touch bumps, hills and edges, the mower deck pushes itself upwards without the blades touching the ground. The AS 915 Sherpa 2WD reliably mows growth heights of up to 120 cm and annual undergrowth. The cutting heights are adjusted centrally and in five stages in the range of 50-105 mm.
Maximum seating comfort and legroom
The AS-Motor Sherpas have been setting standards in comfort and ergonomics since 2010. Almost straight legs, ideal distance from the steering wheel, side deflectors to protect the hands, comfortable footrests and bucket seats offer the driver a high level of comfort. Drivers up to 1.90 m tall sit comfortably in the machine. A seat spring package is available as an option for even more comfort. All controls are logically arranged and easy to reach.
