John Deere X107

Powerful engine

           
With pressure oil lubrication for high reliability and long service life. The X107 models have a 500 cc engine. It generates an output of 11.1 kW at 3,200 rpm.

The engine has the right size and the necessary features for difficult mulching, mowing and bagging conditions:

• The electronic ignition enables quick starting.
• A return spring ensures that the driver does not accidentally leave the hand throttle in the choke position.
• Cast iron cylinder liners increase the service life of the engine.
• Overhead valves ensure excellent performance and economical fuel consumption.
• The capacity is 9l.

A tool-free engine oil drain is easily accessible and simple to use for oil changes. The large diameter filler neck opening is conveniently located under the tractor seat.

• The tank can be easily filled without spilling.
• The tank cap is practically connected to the fuel tank.
• The sealed lid prevents vapors from escaping from the tank.

With the RIO function (Reverse Implement Option)

If the operator feels it is necessary to keep the mower (or other attachment) running while reversing, he should first bring the tractor to a stop and then look behind the machine to make sure there are no people there. Then the RIO switch must be activated (pressed). The RIO button must be held down when the machine is in reverse (on hydrostatic models, the brake pedal must be depressed).

The operator can then release the switch. The mower will continue to operate when reversing and will continue to operate when forward travel is resumed. This procedure must be repeated the next time the operator wants to mow the mower while reversing. If the mower is operating and the operator presses the reverse pedal before pressing the RIO switch, the mower will disengage.

Cargo Mount™ system 

The Cargo Mount system at the rear allows convenient and easy installation of the rear grass catcher.

Edge™ cutting system 

The Edge™ cutting system name has been trademarked to emphasize the advantages of John Deere’s mower design. They give the mower the highest level of comfort, performance and reliability.The 107 cm wide Edge™ mower has two heavy-duty spindles.

The sturdy mower deck made of 2.3 mm thick steel ensures reliable mowing for years to come. The 3-in-1 blades included in delivery work well for side discharge, mulching or collecting.

The mowing blades are mounted using the unique “blade on spindle” fastening system for even greater safety and comfort:

• No tools are needed to switch between mulching, side discharge and rear grass catcher.
• A mulching cover is standard on the X127 (optional upgrade on the X107) and can be installed without tools to enable mulching with the standard mower blades.
• Mulching performance can be improved with powerful mulching blades.
• The optional retrofit kit for high mulching performance includes a mulching insert and special blades.

StarLock™ blade construction

The StarLock™ blade design ensures that the mower blade screw is always tightened to a constant torque so that it can be easily removed.  Blades for difficult mulching and bagging conditions are available as an option.
